Life is a Journey

Life is a cycle. It has an immense treasure for us in its bucket. Everyone has their journeys. We just need to go with its course. We get to see various aspects and perspectives. One needs to undergo all the emotions and feelings in this journey of life. One needs to laugh, cry, get angry, feel sad or happy, control or show their strengths and weaknesses.

At the very 1st moment of our birth, we get to know our very first emotions of crying. Crying is an emotion, which reflects our helplessness. But when we get into the arms of our mother, we feel her love and care. We embrace her warmth and it touches our soul. It is the first step to know one of the most important relations we get in our life. Our mother is our first thread who connects us to our other relations. Afterward, we get family, relatives, friends, peers, colleagues, strangers too.

We are always surrounded by our near and dear ones. But what does life mean? Does it mean to be with your family and share things with them, give love and care, get respect? Or does it mean to enjoy your life with your friends? No, I don’t think so. It’s not that simple. It’s a very complex web. You just can’t describe a person with one or two single qualities. One can be very good at one point or can be very bad at another. One can be very smart and dumb at the same time for different people according to their understanding, needs, perspectives. What is important is not to be good or bad, but to always try to be right. You need to have your logic for the work you do, things you say or decisions you take. At least in your mind and heart you need to be clear that you are right. If your conscience is not allowing you for something you must not do it. By the time we get mature and become capable of taking decisions, we all develop a similar sense of understanding of righteousness. More or less we all get to learn the same manners and ways of living. We develop the same understanding of feelings and react in the same way. So, we all know what is morally and ethically correct and what is not. But still, sometimes the same decision can be right for one and wrong for another. And it is just because life is not the same for everyone. One chooses as per one’s need, situation, capabilities, and opportunities that are available. Because as I earlier say life is not as easy as it seems to be.

Life is one’s very own, a very private thing. It completely belongs to the one who owns it. We can share our belongings, our money, our home, books, clothes, food. But we can’t share our likes, our hard work, our knowledge, our health, or our hunger. Yes, we can try to share our feelings and emotions by expressing them or sharing our thoughts. But it is not possible to make the other person feel how you exactly feel. We can help others with our knowledge but it will not decrease by sharing. On the other hand, it will increase with more exposure and it will still reside with us. The part of it, which we share becomes a part of their perception, thought or knowledge and they will increase it by adding their own expertise to it. So, it becomes part of their life cycle and their journey and thus, the cycle continues…
